A client is withholding payment. What are our options?

That depends on the contract and the reason given. There is usually more than one route, and the most aggressive is rarely the most effective. We will explain what each involves, including likely cost and timescale, before you choose.

Do we really need written contracts with every subcontractor?

It is the cheapest protection available to you. Most of the payment disputes we see involve arrangements agreed by phone or email and never properly recorded, leaving both sides arguing about what was actually promised.

Can you advise on land and site acquisition as well as contracts?

Yes. We act on site acquisition, development land, option and conditional contracts alongside the contractual and employment work, so the same team understands the project as a whole.

We think a professional adviser got it wrong. Can we do anything?

Possibly. Not every poor outcome amounts to negligence, and establishing responsibility takes careful review of the advice given and the loss said to have followed. We will give you a realistic assessment before any formal step is taken.
